The museum, located locally at Mytchett, contains material from the RMC, RAVC, RADC and Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, and encompasses army medicine and healthcare, human and animal, from the English Civil War to the current day. It is a very good museum, well laid out with many interesting exhibits from early medical instruments for amputations, through to the Falklands, and an excellent display of medals awarded to medical personnel. Really too good to be hidden away from general public viewing. Unfortunately, the heating had broken down two days before we arrived, so we spent less time than it deserved. Go back again in the spring.
