Local trip to Englefield Gardens, near Pangbourne, a place which most people did not know existed. Only open on a Monday, the Azaleas and Rhododendrons were both in full bloom. The mirror in the grotto was quite amusing. 14 made the trip with a good stroll round the gardens, finishing off with a light lunch in the tea room, which is also just open on Mondays.
