Visit to the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust in Fifield. A day out a local trust who’s aim is to restore old buses which used to run services for the local Great Western and Thames Valley bus companies. We were given an overview of the trust on the work it is doing, which has about 60 buses in various stages of restoration, many which still run. Following a trip around the restoration workshops and the bus garages, we had an excellent buffet lunch provided by the Trust. After this, the highlight of the day was a trip around Windsor on one of the old vintage buses, where we were the highlight of the show as the King was not in.
